At the Homeland Security Equipment Fair (IGEF 2025) in Ankara, Turkish firearms manufacturer SARSILMAZ showcased a portfolio of products aimed at law enforcement, underscoring the company's growing presence in the global security market. The exhibition ran from September 18 to 20 under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior.
One of the company’s focal points was a covert armored vehicle equipped with the BEST DEFENCE 7.62 mm remote-controlled weapon station. Developed for operations in populated areas, the platform can be deployed in under a minute and revert to a discreet appearance once the mission is complete, offering a practical option for urban policing and counterterrorism operations.
Sarsılmaz also presented a 20 mm cannon designed for the Turkish made Atak helicopter, developed in partnership with its group company TR Mekatronik and Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ). The system highlights the company’s role in Türkiye’s wider aerospace and defense programs, which are drawing increasing attention from foreign delegations.
Alongside these systems, Sarsılmaz displayed a range of pistols and machine guns that remain central to its export portfolio. International delegations visiting the fair were briefed on how these weapons are integrated into law enforcement operations, reflecting the company’s aim to expand beyond its domestic customer base.
IGEF, now in its second edition, serves as Türkiye’s dedicated platform for internal security technology. The next edition is scheduled to take place in Ankara from October 1 to 3, 2026.
