Boran towed howitzer completes firing tests in North Macedonia

Six 105 mm Boran lightweight towed howitzers and associated ammunition delivered to the Republic of North Macedonia on 6 June 2025 completed live firing tests in-country. The Boran is a 105 mm 30 calibre towed howitzer designed to be air transportable. With a reported combat weight of 1,745 kilograms it is described as a lightweight system and can be readied to fire in under one minute. The gun has a maximum effective range beyond 17 kilometres with long range ammunition and a sustained rate of fire of roughly 10 to 12 rounds per minute. MKE said further exports of the Boran to another European customer are planned.
