The Presidency of Turkish Defence Industries (SSB) announced that the development works of the PMT 7.62 machines guns produced by Sarsılmaz for various platforms, are ongoing.
The President of SSB Ismail Demir tweeted the following:
"The Development of the 7.62mm Machine Gun "PMT 7.62", for the use on various platforms, continues. After the qualification process concludes and deliveries are initiated, we will end foreign dependency for this weapon system, then we will make it available to our security forces through domestic and national production."
