Turkey delivers first prototype of the ACV Armored Fighting Vehicle modernization project

A new modernization project led by the Turkish Company Aselsan in collaboration with FNSS has been launched to upgrade the ACV, Armored ombat Vehicles, of the Turkish armed forces.

The AVC is an amphibious tracked armored combat vehicle family developed by the Turkish defense company FNSS Savunma Sistemleri. The vehicle was developed to meet the Turkish Land Forces Command's operational requirement.

A total of 2,280 ACVs are in service with the Turkish army including 650 AFV (Armored Fighting Vehicle), 1,400 Armored Personnel Carrier, 50 ATV (Armored Tow Vehicle), and 180 AMV (Armored Mortar Vehicle). The vehicle is also in service with the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
