ULAK Communications’ network solution passes tests in NATO drill

ULAK Communications' uMAYA SD-WAN, Türkiye's premier national network solution, has achieved a significant milestone by successfully passing tests at CWIX 2024, NATO's largest digital interoperability exercise.

CWIX 2024, held at the NATO Joint Force Training Center in Bydgoszcz, Poland, marked its 25th anniversary with unprecedented participation, including over 2,600 personnel from 44 countries. This exercise tested more than 490 existing and experimental technologies across various scenarios.

Designed with a software-defined approach to enhance security, manageability, and cost-efficiency of wide area network infrastructures, uMAYA SD-WAN demonstrated its capabilities in a military environment within the NATO network during CWIX 2024.

ULAK Communications successfully completed all tests with its SD-WAN product during the exercise, underscoring Türkiye's prowess in developing internationally competitive national network solutions.

Since 1999, CWIX has been endorsed by NATO's military wing to bolster interoperability among allied forces. The exercise not only facilitates mutual tests but also supports the integration of systems under development or in testing phases within coalition scenarios.

SD-WAN V3.0 development work continues at full speed

ULAK Communications, currently serving at over 1,000 locations across Türkiye, is actively advancing the development and testing of its domestic SD-WAN product, Version 3.0. Scheduled for deployment in the 4th quarter of 2024, this latest iteration aims to enhance performance and efficiency significantly.

Simultaneously, ULAK has completed production and testing of an ARM-based prototype designed to support the SD-WAN software, ensuring cost-effectiveness in its operations. This initiative underscores ULAK's commitment to pioneering national network solutions that meet both technological standards and economic objectives.
