ULAK and Turkcell forge key 5G partnership at MWC Barcelona

At MWC Barcelona, one of the world’s most prominent mobile and connectivity events, ULAK Communications and Turkcell have signed a significant “5G Investment and 4.5G Modernization Cooperation Agreement.”

This partnership marks a key step toward enhancing Turkiye’s communication infrastructure with domestic and national technologies, further strengthening Turkiye’s independence in the communication sector.

The MWC Congress and Exhibition, held annually in Barcelona, opened its doors to more than 100,000 visitors and over 200 countries on March 3. The event will run through March 6, 2025, at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. ULAK Communications, a leader in Turkiye’s communication technologies sector, is proudly showcasing its local solutions at the event. These solutions provide secure, uninterrupted, and efficient communication, especially for public safety, defense, and critical infrastructure projects.

To date, ULAK Communications has provided base stations to three commercial operators in Turkiye and has deployed 3,100 ULAK base stations nationwide. With its expertise in 5G and beyond communication technologies, ULAK is displaying its innovative solutions to support secure, flexible, and sustainable communication infrastructure at MWC Barcelona.

This strategic collaboration between ULAK Communications and Turkcell will contribute to building a stronger, safer, and more sustainable communication network, ensuring the future of Turkiye’s communication ecosystem with domestic technologies.
