Türksat, Avanti Communications sign cooperation agreement

Türksat and Avanti Communications will provide wide Ka-band coverage in Europe, Africa and the Middle East with a 5-year cooperation agreement.

A 5-year cooperation agreement was signed between Türksat, one of the largest satellite operators in the region, and Avanti Communications, one of the world’s leading companies in satellite communication.

With the agreement, Türksat and Avanti customers will be provided with an uninterrupted and wide satellite coverage in Europe, Africa and the Middle East in regions where terrestrial infrastructure is limited. The contract will combine the capacity and coverage areas of Türksat-5B, the new member of the Türksat fleet, and Avanti’s HYLAS 4 and HYLAS 2 satellites, and will offer customers GEO HTS (High Throughput Satellite) Ka-band access over 100 Gbps.
