Hürjet supersonic advanced trainer and Light Attack Aircraft, Turkey's first manned jet-powered aircraft project launched in 2017 by Turkish Aerospace, conducted its 10th test flight since its maiden flight on April 25, 2023.
Hürjet has successfully performed flight control system, air data system and aircraft system tests, staying in the air for a total of 6 hours and 16 minutes, and stowed its landing gear in its last two flights.
The second test pilot also took part in the test flight of Hürjet which marked his first flight with the aircraft. From now on Hürjet is expected to continue its testing with both pilots on board.
TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil, who shared his views on the subject, said, "HÜRJET is very used to flying. We carry out test flights almost every week, collecting important data in the air while making analysis. We broke new grounds today; our second test pilot took his place in HÜRJET. We will make a significant contribution to the training of many Turkish fighter pilots in the future with the training planes that will soon enter mass production and delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces."
The first delivery of HÜRJET is planned to take place in 2025, which is designed to play a critical role for the Turkish Armed Forces with its superior performance and modern avionics suite.
