REPKON for the first time in the world developed 40 mm grenade launcher barrel with flowforming technology. The 40 mm six-shot revolver-type grenade launcher will enter the Turkish Armed Forces inventory after the final tests are completed.
In an interview with Defensehere.com, REPKON Military Projects Instructor Zekican Koğuş said the following about the 40 mm grenade launcher:
"We designed our gun to shoot both 40X46 mm low velocity ammunition and 40x51 mm medium velocity grenade launcher ammunitions perfectly. What makes this grenade launcher different from others is, this is about 1500 grams lighter than other 6 round cylinders and it has extended range and [better] accuracy. We are now on the documentation period, when it ends we are planning to extend the deliveries worldwide."
