Affiliated to the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, Military Factory and Shipyard Management Inc. (ASFAT) signed a memorandum of cooperation with Kazakhstan's state owned defence industry company "Kazakhstan Engineering".
In regard to the agreement, ASFAT made the following statement on its Twitter account:
A Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between ASFAT and Kazakhstan Engineering on March 10, 2021. In line with this Memorandum, further cooperation is planned for the joint defense industry projects existing between Turkey and Kazakhstan.
In 2011, Turkey's defense industry giant ASELSAN and KAZAKHSTAN ENGINEERING established a joint venture in Khazakhstan under the name of "KAZAKHSTAN ASELSAN ENGINEERING (KAE) LLP" to fulfill the needs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of electronic and electronic-optical products.
