The Presidency of Turkish Defence Industry celebrates its 35th anniversary

The Presidency of Turkish Defence Industries, was established 35 years ago today on November 7, 1985.

The Presidency of Turkish Defence Industries was put under the direct supervision of the President's Office with the regulations that came into effect in 2017. The Presidency of Defence Industries was established with the aim of establishing and supervising mechanisms specialized in defining and implementing policies for building and developing the infrastructure of Turkish defense industries.

Under the leadership and supervision of the Presidency of Defence Industries, the Turkish defense industry has made many achievements in the fields of land, air, sea, internet and space.

Raising the rate of local participation and development from 20% to 70%, the Turkish defense industry has succeeded in listing 7 of its companies on the list of the Top 100 Global Defense Companies.

Under the leadership and supervision of the Presidency of Defence Industries, the number of Turkish defense industry projects has increased from 62 to 700 and the project budget has also increased from $ 5.5 billion to more than $ 60 billion not only that but also the volume of exports has also increased from $ 248 million to more than $ 3 billion.

The Presidency of Defence Industry continues to research new projects and Ideas that are in the best interest of Turkish defense industry.
