Aselsan, one of the leading Turkish defense industry companies, announced today that the number of its strategic partners has risen to 75, after 25 new companies joined its supplier list.
Aselsan met its strategic partners today in an event it organized in the Turkish capital, Ankara, under the name of “Aselsan Strategic Partnership Meeting”.
In his opening speech of the event, the General Manager and Chairman of Aselsan, Prof. Dr. Haluk Gurgun, said, “The orders we placed with our strategic partners amounted to $265 million in 2020 alone.” He also mentioned that one out of every four orders they place locally was given to a strategic partner.
“As of today, there are more than 5,000 suppliers, more than 3,000 of which are local, in Aselsan’s supplier ecosystem,” Gorgon added.
Referring to Aselsan’s support for SMEs, he said, “In the past ten years, the amount of orders we placed with SMEs have increased nearly sixfold.”
