Saab UK has received an order from the UK Ministry of Defence for the Giraffe 1X radar system.
The procurement is funded through the NATO-administered NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) Trust Fund, supporting defence capabilities linked to Ukraine.
The Giraffe 1X is a compact, multi-mission radar designed for air surveillance, weapon locating and counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) operations.
Saab said the order reflects increasing demand for radar systems to address evolving aerial threats, particularly from drones.
The system is already in operational use globally and is produced in both Sweden and the United Kingdom.
