Russia’s Kalashnikov Concern plans to present the upgraded Leader-11 multipurpose search-and-rescue boat for the first time at the 16th International Exhibition of Security Equipment “Integrated Safety”. The event will be held in the city of Kazan on September 3–5, 2026.
According to Rostec’s press release, the civilian Leader-11 boat is manufactured with advanced technologies and materials, including composites, and meets modern requirements for its class. It is equipped with state-of-the-art systems and is designed for patrol, search and counter-sabotage operations, intercepting offending vessels, supporting diving operations, and enforcing designated navigation regimes.
With a top speed of more than 40 knots (over 74.08 km/h), a combined engine output of 740 hp from two engines, a range of 300 nautical miles, advanced seakeeping capabilities, and a wheelhouse enabling up to 36 hours of autonomous operation, the boat can be used by personnel from various agencies to carry out operational and special tasks.
This month, Kalashnikov Concern also unveiled a new AK-12+ rifle.
