Repkon to establish 155mm ammunition facility in Germany

Germany is set to enhance its 155mm artillery ammunition production capacity by utilizing expertise from the Turkish defense industry.

The Turkish defense company Repkon has signed a high-volume contract with a company in Germany for the establishment of a 155mm explosive filling facility as part of a project for the production and delivery of artillery ammunition for the German Armed Forces.

The turnkey project, aimed at increasing Germany’s artillery ammunition production capacity, will lead to the construction of a manufacturing facility scheduled to become operational in early 2027. In addition to conventional ammunition, the facility will also be capable of filling modern, high-explosive next-generation munitions.

Repkon specializes in turnkey production plants and metal-forming machinery for various industries, including aviation, automotive, oil and gas, mining, and defense. In the defense sector, the company provides manufacturing solutions such as flowforming machines, shear forming machines, hydraulic presses, and gun barrel production systems.
