Poland’s flagship PERUN rocket has completed its fourth test flight, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk announced on social media. The launch took place at the Central Air Force Training Range in the town of Ustka.
Tomczyk wrote: “The test confirmed the proper operation of the rocket’s key systems, including thrust vector control. Modifications introduced after previous flights worked as planned, and the SpaceForest team collected data for further analysis and subsequent tests.”
Reportedly, PERUN is designed to complete at least five flights. The rocket was developed by the Polish company SpaceForest, and testing began in 2023. Powered by a hybrid rocket engine, PERUN is an 11.5-meter-long reusable suborbital rocket designed to carry payloads of up to 50 kilograms to an altitude of up to 150 kilometers.
