Poland completes verification of Hanwha Aerospace’s K-MCS modular propelling charges

Poland has completed the verification process for K-MCS modular propelling charges in South Korea, confirming their compliance with the requirements for use with artillery ammunition supplied to the Polish Armed Forces, Hanwha Aerospace announced on social media on Wednesday.

The verification was conducted by a test group appointed by the head of Poland’s Armament Agency. Following the positive results, ammunition supplied to Poland will include the latest modular propelling charges manufactured by Hanwha Aerospace.

The K-MCS charges comply with the NATO Joint Ballistics Memorandum of Understanding (JBMoU), which establishes common design and ballistic criteria for artillery systems and 155 mm ammunition. The modular charges provide greater flexibility in selecting the appropriate charge configuration for the required range and are designed for high durability and use with various artillery systems, including those equipped with automatic loaders.

Last month, Hanwha Aerospace signed a K9 howitzer export deal with Spain.
