Patria and Rheinmetall join forces for Hungarian Zrínyi program

Patria and Rheinmetall have announced a strategic partnership to jointly support the development of Hungary’s Zrínyi defense program. The two companies signed an agreement aimed at expanding their industrial cooperation in the production and delivery of armored vehicles.

The partnership builds on the ongoing joint venture Rheinmetall Hungary Zrt., which is responsible for producing Patria 8×8 armored vehicles under a license agreement. The new strategic alignment will support further development and lifecycle support of these vehicles, including upgrades, services, and training.

The collaboration also includes the exploration of export opportunities and technology transfer initiatives in Hungary, aligning with the country’s defense development goals.

Patria and Rheinmetall emphasized their commitment to long-term cooperation and strengthening Hungary’s defense industrial base. The Zrínyi program is a key part of Hungary’s efforts to modernize its armed forces and enhance national security.
