Paramount’s Mbombe 4 performing in some of the harshest environments across the globe

Since its launch the Mbombe 4 has been ordered by many nations across the globe, including the Democratic Republic of Congo and the United Arab Emirates. In less than three years since its debut at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference IDEX of 2019 in AbuDhabi, the Mbombe 4 has generated significant levels of interest from armed forces demanding next generation survivability, mobility and toughness. The Mbombe 4 and its revolutionary capabilities offer world-beating innovation, affordability and importantly, local production opportunities for customers.

The Mbombe 4 shares a ‘conventional’ or ‘in-line’ automotive driveline configuration, positioning the powerpack at the front of the vehicle and along its centre line. This configuration results in far greater efficiency in terms of the transfer of power from the powerpack to the wheels, as the loss of power associated with a second transfer gearbox necessary for ‘unconventional’ drivelines, such as with side-engined vehicles, is eliminated.

The platform offers very high levels of ballistic and mine protections (e.g. crew compartment STANAG 4569-Level 3, blast protection STANAG 4569-Level 4a & 4b) and protection against a 50kg TNT side blast or IED/roadside bomb.

The ‘Ultimate Warrior’ Mbombe 4 is presently in production in Africa and Asia for global delivery or deployment.
