Pakistan is ready to host AMAN-25, the 9th edition of its multinational naval exercise, from February 7-11. This year’s event will feature the inaugural AMAN Dialogue, where naval chiefs, coast guard heads, and senior leaders will discuss regional maritime security and strategies to combat evolving threats.
Approximately 60 countries are expected to participate with ships, aircraft, Special Operations Forces (SOF), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams, marines, and observers. Delegations from around the world will also attend the International AMAN Dialogue, running parallel to the exercise.
Since its launch in 2007, the exercise has grown significantly, with 50 nations participating in the 2023 edition. Its motto, “Together for Peace,” reflects its mission, while the 2025 theme, “Secure Seas; Prosperous Future,” highlights the importance of maritime security for global stability.
The exercise will feature both harbour and sea phases. The harbour phase includes seminars, operational discussions, counter-terrorism demonstrations, and planning for sea maneuvers. The sea phase will involve tactical drills, anti-piracy and counter-terrorism exercises, search and rescue missions, gunnery firing, and air defense drills. The highlight of the event will be the International Fleet Review, attended by dignitaries from across the world.
