Otokar export $25 Million worth of armoured vehicles to an African country

Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş. was awarded a $25 million contract for COBRA II 4×4 Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles, by an African country.

The statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) is as follows: “Our company has signed a new export agreement with an African country for the sale of 4 × 4 tactical wheeled armored vehicles and the spare parts and training services of these vehicles for approximately 25 million dollars. The contract will enter into force following the completion of the letter of guarantee transactions, making the advance payment and obtaining the necessary permissions for export, and the related deliveries are planned to be completed within 6 months starting this year.

Cobra II

COBRA II 4×4 Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle is a modular platform with superior technical and tactical characteristics. Besides outstanding mobility, COBRA II provides higher ballistic and mine protection, increased payload capacity and internal volume.

COBRA II offers high level of protection and payload capacity and large internal volume. In addition to superior mobility, COBRA II also comes with high protection against ballistic, mine and IED threats. Delivering high performance in the toughest terrain and climate conditions, COBRA II is optionally available with an amphibious version, adapting perfectly to different missions as needed. COBRA II, subjected to rigorous climatic and amphibious tests in different parts of the world, travelled thousands of miles and also successfully passed the open sea swimming tests.

With its wide range of weapon integration and mission equipment options COBRA II can serve various types of missions including urban and peacekeeping missions with optional amphibious feature. The vehicle provides a remarkable performance in a wide range of challenging terrains and climatic conditions.
