Norway to provide $455 million in artillery support to Ukraine in 2025

Norway will provide Ukraine with NOK 5 billion ($455 million) in 2025 to support the purchase of artillery ammunition, according to an announcement from Ukraine’s Defense Ministry. The funds will bolster Ukraine’s military efforts as it continues its defense against Russian forces.

A portion of the aid, totaling NOK 4 billion ($367.4 million), will be allocated through a Czech-led initiative, while the remaining NOK 1 billion will be provided through the European Peace Fund.

The Defense Ministry emphasized that artillery ammunition remains a critical requirement for Ukraine’s armed forces, as the country faces significant shortages on the frontlines.

The aid is part of Norway’s ongoing military assistance to Ukraine, contributing to broader European efforts to support Kyiv amid the ongoing conflict.
