On Wednesday Naval Group announced that the company started the construction of the second FDI frigate for the Hellenic Navy with a steel-cutting ceremony at the Naval Group shipyard of Lorient.
The program for two frigates with one optional was signed in March 2022. Less than 4 months later, while the first frigate is already in production, this steel-cutting ceremony marked an important step in the program and the beginning of the production phase of the second frigate.
The first two ships are expected to be delivered in 2025 and the third in 2026.
