Naval Group announced the signing of six cooperation agreements with Greek companies during the recently concluded DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens 2025, which took place from May 6 to 8. These agreements were signed under the framework of the Hellenic Industrial Participation (HIP) plan and aim to reinforce long-term support for the Hellenic Navy’s FDI frigates and promote joint technological initiatives.
Four framework contracts were signed to support the maintenance and operational readiness of the FDI platform:
FARAD S.A. for HVAC heat exchangers,
DIVING STATUS for underwater inspection and maintenance,
Melita Power Diesel for diesel engine services, and
PETROS PETROPOULOS for diesel generator support.
In addition to these contracts, two Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) were signed. One, with ALTUS LSA S.A., will focus on the marinization and integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) aboard various naval platforms, including the FDI frigates and Gowind corvettes. The other, with Hellenic Aerospace Industry (EAB), aims to assess the integration of the Centaur counter-UAS system into the FDI platform and potentially other naval vessels.
Naval Group stated that these agreements are part of a long-term approach to enhancing Greek industrial capabilities and ensuring sustained support for naval platforms operated by the Hellenic Navy.
