NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum has highlighted the ANKA III unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), developed by Turkish aerospace manufacturer TUSAŞ, as an example of the alliance’s expanding defense production capabilities.
According to a report by Anadolu Agency, the NATO command shared a statement on the social media platform X on Wednesday, describing the next-generation stealth UCAV as “NATO 3.0 in practice.”
The command’s post emphasized the importance of growing defense industrial capacity among member states. “As agreed at the NATO Ankara Summit, European Allies and Canada are stepping up with new capabilities and taking greater responsibility for our shared security,” the statement read, as cited by the agency.
The command further noted that this expansion in allied defense production is the core of the NATO 3.0 concept, adding that such technological and industrial developments mean “an Alliance stronger than ever.”
The ANKA III is a flying-wing, low-observable UCAV developed by TUSAŞ to conduct intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and strike missions.
