President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chaired the Seventh Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his official visit to Pakistan.
After the meeting, Erdoğan and Sharif signed a joint declaration titled “Deepening, Diversifying and Institutionalizing the Strategic Partnership” agreed between the two countries. Subsequently, 24 cooperation agreements in different fields were signed between the two countries.
In this context, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Presidency of Defense Industries of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Defense Production of Pakistan.
The signatures were signed by President of Defense Industries (SSB) Haluk Görgün and Minister of Defense Production of Pakistan Khawaja M. Asif.
Stating that this agreement aims to further the defense industry projects between Türkiye and Pakistan and strengthen long-term partnerships, SSB said, “The deep-rooted friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries continues to deepen in many areas, including the defense industry. Türkiye will resolutely continue to contribute to regional and global security by continuing its cooperation with friendly and brotherly countries with its technology accumulation and innovative solutions in the defense industry.”
