In an interview with Defensehere.com Nick Sharpe, the CEO of Modini, presented their state-of-art products at MSPO fair in Poland.
UK-based defense company Modini started operating 4 years ago. The company specializes in the design, development, test, evaluation, and operational delivery of complex uncrewed systems.
Sharpe presented the company’s newest gas turbine which has a thrust of fifty kN
He also pointed out the products which they are currently developing. He said that they have a 12-month program to deliver a 3.2 kN thrust engine which is largely made of 3D printed parts. He stated that they plan to run the test for it in the next 6-9 months.
He also presented their one-way attack drone with a 250-kilometer range which can integrate third party technologies. He highlighted that the company has built most of the microelectronics such as the gas turbine, the fueling system and payload of the drone.
Besides the one-way attack drone, he also presented the company’s platform with three variants The standard static target defeat profile, electromagnetic head which is able to target jamming frequencies, and the surveillance package.
