Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi Inc. (MKE) participated in the 16th International Defense Industry Fair IDEF 2023 held at Istanbul Tüyap Fair and Congress Center.
Welcoming its visitors at the booth 233 in Hall 2, MKE held various meetings within the scope of the fair.
In addition to its national rifles, the company exhibited for the first time on land platform the Air-launched Guided Bottom Mine (UÇA) and Short Range Air Defence System (YHSS).
MKE signed 10 agreements with different institutions, organizations and companies for 4 days.
The company signed the following agreements within the scope of the fair;
- A contract was signed between MKE and the Directorate General of Procurement Services under the Ministry of National Defense for the supply of the 76/62 mm National Naval Artillery Gun produced by MKE for use in Hisar-class offshore patrol vessel.
- A comprehensive cooperation and R&D protocol was signed between the MKE and EM&E based in Spain.
- A cooperation protocol was signed between MKE and the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Within the scope of the protocol, it was agreed to determine the capacities and capabilities of the two organizations, to develop their capabilities by evaluating the needs of the two countries jointly and to share experiences and to supply the products to be needed.
- With the strategic cooperation protocol signed between MKE and Asisguard, joint action will be taken on various projects considering the capabilities of the two companies.
- A protocol was signed between MKE and the Directorate General of Procurement Services under the Ministry of National Defense for the supply of 5 items of various ammunition, OZOK Hand Grenades, MK82 and MK84.
- A protocol was signed with the Naval Forces Command on the grant of the 76/62 mm National Naval Artillery Gun developed by MKE and the development of the 127 mm Naval Gun by MKE.
- MKE signed a contract for the supply of the 76/62 mm Naval Gun of the Milgem 6th, 7th and 8th ships to be produced in cooperation with STM and TAIS.
- Pursuant to the contracts signed between MKE, Tübitak Sage and KoçSavunma, development and cooperation activities will be carried out jointly in the Air-launched Guided Bottom Mine UÇA project and the smart bottom mine Malaman project.
