WDS 2026: L3Harris Expands Defense Cooperation with Saudi Arabia

L3Harris Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment and the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) to pursue mutually beneficial defense investment opportunities.

The agreement was signed during World Defense Show 2026 (WDS 2026) in Riyadh, underscoring continued US–Saudi industrial and defense cooperation.

Under the MoU, the parties will assess the Kingdom’s local value chain to support advanced capabilities, including applications in artificial intelligence (AI) and resilient command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions. The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader objectives to localize key defense technologies and strengthen national security capabilities.

“L3Harris has been a committed partner with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for over 50 years, and we pride ourselves on delivering the most advanced capabilities to the country,” said Jennifer Hanley, Vice President, International, L3Harris. “This MoU is a significant step forward in expanding our commitment to delivering and localizing key capabilities aligned with the Kingdom’s development plans and national security needs.”

The new agreement builds upon ongoing collaboration under the SAMI L3Harris joint venture, established in 2019, further reinforcing long-term industrial cooperation between the company and Saudi defense stakeholders.
