UK has announced its offer of the Dingo 3 protected mobility vehicle for the British Army’s Land Mobility Programme. The company stated on social media that both 4×4 and 6×6 configurations of the vehicle are available, highlighting its operational history and suitability for modern battlefield requirements.
With over 1,200 units in service across ten countries, the Dingo 3 has been deployed in conflict zones such as Afghanistan, Mali, and Ukraine. It features reinforced protection against mines, IEDs, small arms fire, and artillery shrapnel. Built on the Mercedes-Benz Unimog chassis, it offers high mobility across challenging terrains and can be configured for various roles, including troop transport, command operations, and medical evacuation. The 4×4 version is designed for compact, high-mobility operations, while the 6×6 variant offers increased payload capacity and interior space, making it suitable for larger troop deployments and specialized missions.
KNDS has emphasized that, if selected, production and maintenance of the Dingo 3 would take place in the UK. The company sees this as part of a broader effort to establish itself as a key defense partner in Britain, contributing to local industry, job creation, and supply chain development.
The proposal aligns with the Anglo-German Trinity House agreement, which aims to strengthen industrial and military ties between the two nations. KNDS has also positioned the Dingo 3 as a complementary asset to the Boxer armored vehicle, another platform in the British Army’s inventory, reinforcing logistical efficiency and interoperability within the fleet.
