Exclusive: A closer look at Hornet TM Remote Weapon Station

Hornet, a weapons division of the French defense company Arquus and part of the Belgian group John Cockerill, participated in IDEX 2025 to present its latest innovation, the Hornet TM remote weapon station.

During an exclusive interview with Defensehere.com, Jean Boy, the Director of Hornet, provided insights into the capabilities of this advanced system.

The Hornet TM system, qualified by the French Army for the Scorpion program, has already seen the delivery of 600 units. Weighing only 220 kg above the vehicle’s roof, the gyro-stabilized 2+2-axis system enhances battlefield survivability with advanced firepower, protection, and an independent smoke launcher system. It includes an M2HB machine gun with 300 rounds, providing unmatched on-the-move combat capabilities.
