HENSOLDT is showcasing its space situational awareness (SSA) solutions at Avalon Airshow 2025. These technologies provide real-time visibility of Earth’s orbit, tracking and characterizing thousands of objects, including active satellites and space debris. The system ensures mission planning accuracy and the protection of critical assets.
As part of its SSA efforts, HENSOLDT and the University of Tasmania formed the Southern Guardian Partnership in 2021. This collaboration integrates HENSOLDT’s expertise with the University’s nationwide network of space sensors to enhance space monitoring capabilities.
HENSOLDT is also exhibiting its Spectrum Battle Management Suite (SBMS), designed for tactical and strategic network operations in spectrum battle management. The system features a user-friendly interface and next-generation sensors, ensuring situational awareness across all operational levels.
The company is presenting its SPEXER radar family and Air Surveillance Radar – Next Generation (ASR-NG). The SPEXER radars provide automatic detection and classification of ground, sea, and low-flying air targets. The SPEXER 2000 is integrated into Rheinmetall Air Defence’s Skyranger 30, a cannon-based air defence vehicle.
In 2024, HENSOLDT signed a contract with Space Centre Australia (SCA) to deliver two ASR-NG systems along with a 20-year sustainment plan to support Australia’s air surveillance capabilities.
Additionally, HENSOLDT is showcasing ARGOSIA, a modular ISR and SURMAR mission system designed for air surveillance and intelligence operations. The system supports defence, maritime, and overland surveillance, law enforcement, search and rescue, IMINT, and SIGINT missions. It integrates mission management software, an advanced digital cartography engine, and sensor fusion technology to assist operators in decision-making and mission execution.
HENSOLDT is exhibiting at Avalon Airshow 2025 at stand 1G23.
