South Korean manufacturer Hanwha Aerospace announced on Wednesday that it signed a sublicence agreement with Poland’s Armament Agency to transfer technical documentation and production rights for selected Homar-K launcher components.
The signing took place on the first day of MSPO 2026 in Kielce, Poland, held between 8 and 11 September.
The agreement marks a new milestone in the localization of Homar-K in Poland, which includes production, assembly, and long-term in-service support. According to Hawha Aerospace’s statement on social media, the system already integrates Polish Jelcz chassis and WB Group’s TOPAZ combat management system, while technology transfer and local production of CGR-080 guided rockets are also planned with WB Group.
Under the next phase of localization, over 600 selected spare parts will be produced in Poland for the local armed forces and other users of the K239 Chunmoo system. The plan also includes developing transport and launch containers for Polish-made 122 mm rockets.
Last month, the construction of Poland’s first rocket ammunition factory for the Homar-K system began.
