In an interview with Defensehere.com, Frank Thelen, Senior Manager for Business Development at Thales, provided an overview of the Gladiator 13 laser training system, which the company exhibited at the latest Enforce Tac trade exhibition in Germany.
Developed for police and military training, the system simulates tactical scenarios using laser-equipped replicas of pistols, rifles, hand grenades, and other tools. It includes software for tracking hit data and supports additional modules such as K9 integration and leg shot detection.
Thelen highlighted that the system enables realistic training without the need for live ammunition, offering full compatibility with standard holsters and gear. Its modular design allows users to adapt the setup to different mission profiles and training environments.
