A new amendment to the FSAF-PAAMS Sustainment & Enhancement (S&E) contract was signed by Joachim Sucker, Director of OCCAR-EA, and Anne Diaz De Tuesta, Managing Director of Eurosam. The agreement, representing France, Italy, and the UK, outlines the production of additional Aster 30 B1 ground and naval missiles and Aster 15 naval missiles.
The focus of this amendment is on enhancing European production capabilities for the Aster missile systems to support an increase in production and reduce delivery timelines for the Ground and Naval Air Defence systems used by the air forces and navies of the three nations.
OCCAR-EA and Eurosam are collaborating with national defence procurement authorities from Italy (SGD), France (DGA), and the UK (DE&S) to ensure timely delivery. This contract amendment is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the trilateral cooperation between these countries.
The partnership between OCCAR-EA, Eurosam, MBDA, and Thales will continue to advance the development of upgraded air defence systems, designed to address evolving threats, and support the defence forces of France, Italy, and the UK.
