FNSS to exhibit armored land vehicles in Malaysia

FNSS will participate in the 18th Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition, the largest defense industry gathering in Far East Asia, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, between 6-9 May 2024.

The company will welcome visitors at the booth numbered 2100C in Hall 2, and will hold meetings with military and civilian delegations from different countries during the exhibition.

FNSS, which will take part in the Turkish Pavilion together with many important institutions of the defense sector, will exhibit its armoured land vehicles at the four-day exhibition.

FNSS made its first export to the region in 2000

Carrying out important projects in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, FNSS made its first export to the region in 2000 with the ZMA (Armored Combat Vehicle) project. The 2011 AV-8 8×8 project, a configuration of the PARS 8×8, is still Türkiye’s largest export of land systems in the Turkish defence sector.

AV-8 8×8 vehicles, which FNSS is producing with its Malaysian partner DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies (Deftech) through technology transfer, constitute an important element of the Malaysian Army’s Mechanized Infantry and Armoured units with 12 different configurations.

Defense Service Asia (DSA) & National Security (NATSEC) Asia

Defence Service Asia (DSA) and National Security (NATSEC), one of the world’s largest defense exhibitions, is organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Defence and the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs.

The fair, which is held every two years, the first of which was held in 1988, will host its guests for the 18th time this year at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC).

Malaysia, which increased its defense budget compared to 2023, has become an important market with its 2024 defense budget of 4.37 billion dollars.

DSA 2022

In the survey conducted by the organizers at the exhibition in 2022, 90.4 percent of the participants stated that they were satisfied with the exhibition and would like to participate again.

A total of 380 VIP delegations from 34 countries attended the fair and 1170 companies from 54 countries opened stands and introduced their products.

Türkiye will organize “national participation” in DSA & NATSEC 2024, where it has organized national participation 13 times since 1996.
