Exail has introduced Spacelink-PCE, a propagation channel emulator designed to simulate real-world radio frequency conditions between satellites and ground stations. This technology enables precise testing and optimization of satellite communication systems within a controlled laboratory environment.
Spacelink-PCE allows users to replicate various atmospheric and environmental conditions affecting signal transmission, ensuring improved system reliability and performance before deployment. By providing a realistic testing platform, the emulator supports the development of next-generation satellite communication technologies.
Patrice Dezen, Product Manager at Exail, stated, “With the exponential growth of satellite constellations and the increasing demand for higher bandwidth and lower latency, satellite operators need to validate not only the robustness of their communication links but also the complete behavior of the payload under real-world propagation conditions—before the satellite even leaves the ground.” He added, “Spacelink-PCE is an innovation, offering the only solution capable of simulating the full spectrum of propagation impairments across 1.6 GHz bandwidth.”
