Exail partners with ADSB & TII to enhance mine countermeasures in UAE

Exail, a global leader in maritime defense technologies, has announced a strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) and the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) to enhance Mine Countermeasure (MCM) capabilities in the United Arab Emirates. The collaboration seeks to integrate cutting-edge autonomous systems into naval operations, bolstering regional security and maritime defense.

As part of this initiative, Exail and its partners have introduced the 170M Detector, a 17-meter autonomous vessel equipped with state-of-the-art MCM identification and disposal technologies. This vessel aims to improve naval operations by increasing efficiency and safety in mine detection and neutralization.

Building on this development, the next phase of the collaboration will focus on the creation of the Inspector 125 Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV). This advanced USV will integrate TII’s marine autonomy system with Exail’s T-18 towed sonar, significantly enhancing mine detection and classification capabilities. The initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to technological advancements in naval defense and autonomous maritime solutions.
