Egypt’s ‘Police Day’ video gains attention across social media

Egypt’s Ministry of Interior released the video “Training” on its official YouTube channel as part of the celebrations for Police Day 2025. The video, which depicts the various stages of police officer training, has attracted significant attention on social media platforms.

The film highlights the physical and psychological training of police personnel, showcasing the extensive efforts involved. It also honors the actions of Egyptian police officers during the 1952 Ismailia Battle, where they confronted British forces, leading to the loss of 50 officers’ lives and 80 others injured. This battle was a significant event in the lead-up to the 1952 Revolution.

The 73rd Police Day celebrations in Egypt, held on January 25, 2025, at the Police Academy, were attended by senior government officials, as well as the families of officers who lost their lives and injured officers, to recognize the police force’s role in maintaining national security.
