CANiK took its place in Egypt for EDEX'23, which hosted more than 400 companies and more than 30 thousand participants in the international arena. At EDEX, which was held for the 3rd time in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, between 4-7 December, CANiK hosted the delegations of more than 20 countries at its stand. The Egyptian military authority also showed great interest in the fair. In Egypt, one of the largest defense importers in the African region, CANiK, which has a strong participation with its wide product range and experienced staff, has achieved significant export successes.
Cahit Utku Aral, General Manager of CANiK, said, "We had an intense fair journey in 2023. Together with the fairs where we introduce our high-tech products, which are the favorite of advanced armies, we are completing the year with a high turnover increase in dollar terms."
Exhibited for the first time in the African market
Introduced for the first time at IDEF'23 at the fair, Türkiye's only qualified large-caliber anti-aircraft gun, the CANiK M2F with 950 rounds, and the CANiK M3 with 1100-1200 rounds, were exhibited for the first time in Africa.
The largest manufacturer of heavy machine guns
CANiK General Manager Cahit Utku Aral said, "This year, we are completing 2023 with an export of 145 million dollars. We are entering 2024 as the largest manufacturer in the global heavy machine gun market. We will start exporting Venom LR, which we introduced this year, and our new UKSS turret family TRAKON and TRAKON TARGAN next year. An intense fair marathon awaits us again in 2024. The first exhibition of 2024 will start with SHOT SHOW in January, then we will be in Saudi Arabia at the WORLD DEFENSE SHOW in February."
