Defense manufacturer Schiebel announced on Monday that the CAMCOPTER S-300 drone had successfully completed its first live capability demonstration before the representatives of the British Army and Royal Navy.
Schiebel showcased the capabilities of autonomous systems and crewed-uncrewed teaming alongside another defense giant, Thales Group, with which the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in September 2023.
CAMCOPTER S-300 Unmanned Air System (UAS) is a heavy-lift platform designed for full integration into advanced naval combat systems. It is engineered to deliver real-time intelligence and operational awareness in complex operational environments, including shipborne and austere land-based operations. The S-300 features multiple hardpoints enabling flexible payload integration and cargo-carrying capability of up to 250 kg.
