Brazilian firm FSS BR simulates the world of military solutions

Brazilian company FSS BR is positioning itself as a key player in advanced military simulation, offering end-to-end solutions for multi-domain and multi-platform training systems for armed forces worldwide.

Speaking to Defensehere.com, Ricardo Porto Correa, representative of FSS BR, explained that the company is fully Brazilian, from ownership and management to its engineering teams, and has been dedicated to the simulation market for decades.

“FSS is a Brazilian company with 100% Brazilian technical staff, focused on developing all the tools needed to build multi-domain and multi-platform simulation systems,” Correa said.

FSS BR develops the full ecosystem required for high-fidelity simulation, including backend simulation engines, 3D image generators, physics-based sensor simulations, logical system modeling, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). These tools allow users to create realistic training environments for aircraft, vehicles, and mission planning, as well as debriefing and battlefield analysis through replayable 3D scenarios.

“Our tools generate the code that connects directly to the simulation engine, allowing all parameters to be accurately represented on digital or analog interfaces,” Correa explained.

The company has an extensive track record with the Brazilian Air Force, Brazilian Navy, and is expanding its work with the Brazilian Army, supporting both operational systems and modernization programs. One notable example includes the recovery and modernization of legacy platforms such as the P-3 MPA, bringing previously obsolete or inactive systems back into service.

Beyond Brazil, FSS BR has delivered simulation solutions internationally, including projects for the French Navy, Thai Air Force, Italian Air Force, and the U.S. Air National Guard, as well as academic institutions. The company has developed full simulators from scratch, including for the A-1 AMX, and contributed to F-16 simulation programs abroad.

With experience dating back to 1995, FSS BR continues to expand its global footprint, leveraging Brazilian engineering expertise to deliver flexible, high-end simulation and training capabilities to defense customers worldwide.
