The tank operation tests of TCG Anadolu (L-400), which will be Turkey's largest warship, were successfully carried out with the Altay main battle tank prototype.
The Altay Tank was taken from the military shipyard to the landing craft mechanized (LCM) ship, loaded on the TCG Anadolu in the open sea, and then taken to the LCM again and the landing operation was carried out successfully.
The Altay tank is produced in Turkey's Sakarya Tank Pallet Factory.
President of Defense Industry Agency Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, in his Twitter account, stated the following:
"With this test completed today, another important stage in the project has been passed. We are completing one more step with each passing day and we are looking forward to adding Anadolu to our inventory."
Turkey's first national amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu is planned to be delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces Command at the end of the year.
