The second prototype PT-2 of Bayraktar AKINCI AUAV (Assault Unmanned Ariel Vehicle), developed by BAYKAR Defense under the leadership of the Defense Industry Presidency through domestic and national facilities, successfully completed the high altitude and high-speed tests.
In the statement made on the Twitter account of BAYKAR Defense, "The Flight tests of Bayraktar AKINCI AUAV continue. Bayraktar AKINCI PT-2 successfully completed high altitude and high-speed tests today."
Bayraktar AKINCI AUAV’s second prototype made its first test flight on August 13, 2020 and remained in the air for 1 hour.
The integration process of the third prototype of the Bayraktar AKINCI AUAV project continues at the Baykar National UCAV R&D and Production Center. First deliveries of the system are planned to be carried out by the end of the year.
The third prototype will be sent to Çorlu Airfield Command to perform test flights after the integration is completed.
