Exail to equip Airbus’ SIRTAP UAS with navigation system

Exail announced that it has been selected by Airbus to supply advanced inertial navigation systems (INS) for the SIRTAP tactical Unmanned Aerial System (UAS).

The system chosen is Exail’s Navsight, a high-performance INS that combines fiber-optic gyroscope technology with a GNSS receiver to provide accurate positioning, even in GNSS-denied environments.

According to Exail, this marks a major milestone in its collaboration with Airbus and reinforces its position as a trusted partner for tactical UAV navigation.

Exail stated that the Navsight system will contribute to the mission success of SIRTAP by delivering precise and reliable navigation capabilities in all operational conditions.
