HAVELSAN announced on December 27 that its Chairman of The Board, Dr. Celal Sami Tüfekçi, and HAVELSAN’s CEO & General Manager, Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar paid a visit to Kuwaiti Ambassador to Ankara, Mr. Ghassan Yousuf Al-Zawawi to review the ongoing projects and existing relations and to evaluate the future cooperation possibilities.
During the visit, new generation end-to-end technologies HAVELSAN offers in the fields of Command Control and Defence, Simulation, Training, Autonomous and Platform technologies, ICT, Homeland Security and Cyber Security were discussed. Moreover, HAVELSAN’s approach to be open to every occasion which would give a chance to contribute to Kuwait, to build a close dialog with the local counterparts towards a strong collaboration from satisfying the security and safety needs of Kuwait to technology transfer and joint R&D activities was also emphasized at the meeting.
Kuwait, strategically located in the northern Arabian Gulf occupies a special place not only for Turkey owing to the strategic partnership established between two countries in the last 15 years but also for the prominent defence and technology companies of Turkey such as HAVELSAN.
Clearly, especially for the last 5 years, HAVELSAN has been committed to cooperate with Kuwait Ministry of Defence officials for the enhancement, upgrade and development of Kuwait Armed Forces capabilities to help support the national security interests of Kuwait. As it has been in the past, in the future as well it is expected that HAVELSAN will be eager to share its experience in developing technologically advanced, innovative smart solutions with Kuwait. Consequently, it will not be surprising to hear that one day in the medium run HAVELSAN will be seriously evaluating the option to localise in Kuwait to contribute more to Kuwait.
