The Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MSB) reported that the acceptance test flights of the Turkish-made targeting system, ASELPOD, proceed to initiate the mass-production of the system.
In the statement made by MSB, it was stated that the test flights continue to be carried out by the 401st Test Fleet Command.
The ASELPOD Targeting System provides vision to pilots in day and night conditions through its high-resolution thermal and daytime cameras, while also detecting and identifying ground and air targets from very long distances.
The system successfully performs target tracking and targeting functions using advanced image processing algorithms.
