Hunt & Palmer announces leadership transition after 40 years

Hunt & Palmer, a globally respected name in air charter brokerage, has announced a significant leadership transition as its founders, Peter Hunt and Jeremy Palmer, prepare to step back from day-to-day management after nearly 40 years at the helm.

The succession process, set to unfold over the next 12 months, will usher in a new era for the Hunt & Palmer Group. A new Executive Management Team, comprising Julie Black, Director of Premier Aviation (UK) Ltd, Jamie Peters, Director of Hunt & Palmer Cargo Charters Ltd, along with Simon Edwards and Mark Jenkinson, will take charge of the company’s operational and strategic leadership.

During this period, Messrs Hunt and Palmer will gradually shift their focus away from daily operations, while continuing to serve as Board Directors alongside Neil Harvey, Simon Edwards, and Mark Jenkinson. Neil Harvey, who has been with the company for over 30 years, will play a vital role in facilitating the transition.

Jeremy Palmer, Chairman of Hunt & Palmer, emphasized the importance of this move:
"The time is right to future-proof our business. Our priority remains the well-being of our employees and ensuring the continuity of our operations. This carefully planned succession will secure the long-term success of our company."

Peter Hunt echoed these sentiments, highlighting the company’s commitment to nurturing talent from within:
"We prioritize investing in our people, and it’s no coincidence that Julie and Jamie have been selected to join Simon and Mark in leading the business forward. They are exceptional leaders, widely respected within the industry."
