The UAE-based company EDGE Group made its debut at the ADEX 2024 Exhibition in Baku, Azerbaijan, encompassing over 35 entities and offering a wide range of defense capabilities across land, air, and maritime applications. Miles Chambers, Vice President of International Business at EDGE Group, provided insights to Defensehere.com during the event, highlighting the importance of this exhibition for the region.
Chambers emphasized that ADEX serves as a significant platform for fostering collaboration in the defense sector. He noted that EDGE is currently exporting to more than 50 countries worldwide, showcasing a substantial international footprint that spans from South America to Southeast Asia.
During the exhibition, EDGE presented a diverse array of capabilities, including precision-guided munitions, electronic warfare systems, and autonomous technologies. Chambers pointed out the company's keen interest in technology cooperation and local capacity building, particularly in markets like Azerbaijan, which has a robust local industry.
As EDGE Group seeks to expand its presence in new markets, Chambers stressed the importance of identifying collaboration opportunities with regional partners. He reiterated that building relationships with local industries is crucial for navigating the evolving global defense landscape.
With its first participation in ADEX, EDGE Group aims to strengthen its ties within the region while contributing to the advancement of defense technology and capabilities in Azerbaijan.
