President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün met with Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister of Defense Mr. Talal Bin Abdullah Alotaibi in Jeddah as part of his visit to Saudi Arabia. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of National Defense Bilal Durdalı and general managers of leading companies of the Turkish defense industry.
During the meeting, constructive views were exchanged on deepening cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense industry and developing joint projects.
In its statement on the subject, the Presidency of Defense Industries announced that the meeting paved the way for the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the further expansion of cooperation opportunities in the field of defense industry.
In the statement of the Presidency, "It was evaluated that the new steps to be taken in the defense industry will contribute to both regional and global security. The meeting is of a nature that will serve the long-term strategic goals of the two countries and was discussed with a perspective that will produce concrete results in the future."
